I have found that the advised supply of food storage and other essentials at present is one month in the USA. What is necessary is to stop the policies that promote hunger and deliberately infertile seeds. These are immoral and an abomination to the LORD. I have a short supply of bandages to help take care of my neighbors who just do not get it. I have water. After an earthquake where are they of the city going to find healthy water. And in the country wells can turn acidic and deadly.
I encourage all to prepare with food stores. The Word of the LORD warns that food will become more valuable than gold.
It should be stored in such a way to not be wasted in an earthquake since we know that many earthquakes will occur in many places in the earth.
Washing out your empty milk jugs and then rinsing them with regular bleach and then almost filling them with water until you have one gallon per person for 30 days is wise. So a family of four should have 120 gallons of water readied. Do not think broken highways will allow the passage of trucks to deliver help or supplies. Haiti is a test. Do you help others? The LORD is giving you a chance to sow and reap accordingly within the spiritual realm, to love your neighbor as yourself. References :
