Will the food go bad. That we have saved up in it. I Know that canned food has an expiration date but I though that stuff was the kind of food you put up just in case because it stayed good for ever or close to it.

You should rotate your canned food, your water, anything perishable that you have in your emergency kit. The worse possible thing is to get sick from something you have eaten during an emergency!
