I applied for emergency food stamps the 22nd I know the holidays probably slowed things up but shouldn’t I have gotten them by now?? I was approved.
if you know nothing about someones situation maybe you should shut your mouth! My family and I came up on hard times just like a lot of people in this country has. Just know that Karma is a B***H
thanks but already did that and have left many messages.
emergency food Stamps take 5 working days generally. The 24th may or may not have been a working day for that office where you are. So 22. 23. 24?, 28, 29 or 22, 23, 28, 29, 30. If you need food before they come go to http://www.feedingamerica.org and find the food bank nearest you and contact them for he4lp and fr info about food pantries near you,

I would say call your local office.
To the other answerer: I hope you never end up in a position to need food stamps yourself. Unplanned things happen that are beyond your control. Oh, also-not everyone pays for internet. there are plenty of internet "hotspots" these days and you can also pick up on your neighbors-one of my neighbors does that on mine.
EDIT: oh look, the other answerer’s mean post seems to have been deleted and you now have answers from people actually trying to help. =) good luck to you!

why don’t you call them back and ask when are they going to have them on your card? they should tell you. Oh, and about the internet thing, that’s BS!! Anyway, I hope you get them soon.

I think you should go to the office where you applied since calling hasn’t worked. Best of luck.

You are right, the holidays probably have slowed things down. Please go to the local food pantries (that’s why we’re in the community!). Many churches have small pantries, as does the Salvation Army, and many communities have them too. Check out soup kitchens (many are church sponsored, but don’t let that stop you.) Sorry that you have suffered this delay, but please use the pantries and soup kitchens.

I do not know what state you are in but mine has a State Ombudsmen for Welfare Director’s office that troubleshoots any problems clients may have with caseworkers. If anyone has complaints they call them to find out what is going on. Usually if the office where you applied gets a call from the Ombudsmen the response is instantaneous. It is like getting a call from the Director. Try calling the Administration office of your State Welfare Dept. and see if they have something like that.
