Well basically today i applied for food stamps because i lost my job and i obviously need to eat lol, So right now i am looking for a job but didnt find one yet. So I went down the the office today and applied , I got the food stamps but the lady that called it ..said it was "emergency food stamps" right now but i will get more later .. I was wondering what is emergency food stamps .. how much do u usually get for emergency food stamps.
INFORMATION ABOUT ME ~ I am 22 years old female living with my parents but they do not support me and i gave them a letter that my mother wrote, I dont have a job at this time so no income and no bank account. Could you please help me out and try to guess how much i will get for the emergency food stamps. She didnt tell me … she said it will be activated tomorrow morning after 11 and i can find out. I don’t know about your state, but in AZ, for a single person, you usually get about $150 a month for food stamps.

Each state is different, I received $100.00 a month while living with my parents. I was 19 at the time; went to school full-time; & had to show that I was currently still in college every time it was required of me to get food stamps. When summer came I had to go to the unemployment classes, and try to find a job. After landing a job your food stamps will be based on your income; rather you are full time or partime, if your parents ask you to pay rent (must have evidence of your receipts), if your job provide insurance. You will be ok. You may be able to go to food pantries in your area, too.
