I have fed my dogs dog treats for the last 3 years never washing my hands afterwards if these were tainted could it have affected my health? and whose to say our own food supply could be messed with?

Yup you very well could have picked up salmonella from the dog treats. They are regularly recalled, especially Pig’s ears. They say that if you are young or old, or have a compromised immune system you should avoid touching them entire. We just plain don’t give them to the dogs. Pig’s ears cause pancreas problems anyhow, so they are just a useless treat.
But yes our own food is also recalled all the time. Lots of times the FDA sends out a notice and I don’t see it on the news for a couple of weeks. 2 weeks time and people are still eating tainted food.. Look at the peanut butter, they said that problem had been ongoing since at least 2004 they figure..

Costco has a huge sale on a 1 year supply of Self Reliance "Thrive" freeze dried food for $799. Comparable quantaties of Mountain House food would be more than double this price.

Mountain House is generally reviewed as the best you can get. Has anyone tried the Thrive brand?

I’m LDS. Mountain House is concidered to be the best. Thrive is not a product I’ve been exposed to, nor have any experience with.

I have never known Costco to carry a poor quality product though. I too have been looking at the sales prices at Costco.

I personally would be willing to take a chance on the Thrive products (but only because I tust Costco to offer a good product). I would not however put all my eggs in one basket. Suppliment your food storage with other products you know and trust. I should clarify that though…I would take a chance on certain items. I would not pay for canned wheat, salt, sugar, rice, beans, legumes or oatmeal. I can package it up in five gallon buckets, and mylar bags myself MUCH cheaper.

Iran have helped North Korea with their ICBM tipped with a nuclear weapon. Russia have helped Iran with their own nuclear weapons.

This long range missile will be launched by April 8th and will travel towards either of these 2 locations – Japan or USA.

I hope you got your ICBMs aimed at Pyongyang, Moscow, Cuba and Beijing in retaliation.

Also I lose virginity last night so I am not afraid to die, I have my guns ready and my 3 year food supply so I am good.
