I found a LOT of oyster mushrooms growing on a maple tree today, more than I can use while they are still fresh. I need a way to preserve 20 pounds of mushrooms. What’s best? Canning, saute then freeze, blanch and freeze or dehydrate?
Dehydrate them. Mushrooms take very very well to dehydration and retain their flavor well.

food poisoning… can I sue?
Let me catch you up on the story. December 2nd, Me, my mother, my brother, my then boyfriend, and sister in law all ate meatballs we baught from a deli. I hadn’t eaten anything else all day, so I guess I’m the controlled subject.
9am December 3rd, I was… well to put it nicely, shooting out of both ends. This went on from 9am – 10pm that night. I couldn’t keep down ANYTHING until 8pm that night (otter pops, I strongly recomend) and water. Because I hadn’t been able to keep any fluids in me, I became dehydrated, and had a small fever until the next day. I called my family, they all had the same symptoms.
I went to the deli two days later after contacting the owner. We had kept the remaining meatballs in the freezer to preserve them. We gave him all our information, including the meatballs that he assured us would be sent to a "lab" to be inspected, and we would be contacted soon.
It’s January 22nd. I haven’t heard anything, he won’t return my calls.
Can I sue?
Also I did talk to a doctor.
I would call a health place somewhere that takes care of the business around there to make sure foods are being properly prepared and all I think its the health department… let them know and demand you want something done, they should be able to help you, if they dont then I would for sure call a lawyer and figure out your rights on that
Do you believe that Female Bodybuilders off season look can be appealing?
Personally, I believe that most people who make negative comments about female bodybuilders are reacting to their ‘contest shape’ look; with the orange tan, dehydrated skin, seemingly .01% body fat and vein popping arms and legs.
What a lot of people don’t realize is that there is also an off season look, where the arms and legs are more thick and smooth and the skin looks natural and doesn’t wear the fake tan. And being more thick than muscly, these looks tend to preserve some femininity for female bodybuilders that some people think they might lack.
That’s pretty open minded Alana and Serena Williams is a good example.
Off season, the female bodybuilders look a little better because they have a little more body fat.
I’ve been exercising for most of my life and I considered becoming a female bodybuilder, but I only love their physiques from the waistline down. I also like it in a smaller version — muscle mass, but not so much of it. I can’t get past the upper body. The bulging chest muscles. Plus, the arms are too big in-season and off-season. I also don’t like seeing all those large veins popping out in the neck, etc.
I like the shapes of fitness models — like Ms. Fitness. They are "slightly" muscular and lean. I like a flat, sleek stomach but not necessarily a six-pack on a woman. The commercials for "Bow Flex" and other exercise equipment feature women with the "fit" looks that I prefer.
