Personally, I believe that most people who make negative comments about female bodybuilders are reacting to their ‘contest shape’ look; with the orange tan, dehydrated skin, seemingly .01% body fat and vein popping arms and legs.
What a lot of people don’t realize is that there is also an off season look, where the arms and legs are more thick and smooth and the skin looks natural and doesn’t wear the fake tan. And being more thick than muscly, these looks tend to preserve some femininity for female bodybuilders that some people think they might lack.
That’s pretty open minded Alana and Serena Williams is a good example.
Off season, the female bodybuilders look a little better because they have a little more body fat.
I’ve been exercising for most of my life and I considered becoming a female bodybuilder, but I only love their physiques from the waistline down. I also like it in a smaller version — muscle mass, but not so much of it. I can’t get past the upper body. The bulging chest muscles. Plus, the arms are too big in-season and off-season. I also don’t like seeing all those large veins popping out in the neck, etc.
I like the shapes of fitness models — like Ms. Fitness. They are "slightly" muscular and lean. I like a flat, sleek stomach but not necessarily a six-pack on a woman. The commercials for "Bow Flex" and other exercise equipment feature women with the "fit" looks that I prefer.

I think that muscular women can look good. I wouldn’t be mad if my body looked like Senrena Williams.
So should women not have muscles to make men feel more manly? I’m confused by some of these answers.

To be honest with you i hate to see muscles on a woman!
It looks terrible!

Honestly I think they’re yucky looking. And if all that muscle turns to fat than they’re going to be even more yucky looking. Like you said the veins and all. Girls arent meant to look like guys.

No… sorry…I’m a man, and i don’t find anything appealing about muscles in women.

How can girls with muscles be appealing to man? Imagine girls without breast and lost of femininty? It’s such a turn off.

no, still look too manly
*in my opinion, the most muscular a women can get (and still look womanly) is like tennis players: Serena Williams, Anna Kournikova,Maria Sharapova etc.

Ha nope they’re not appealing in my opinion. They have way to much muscles that go up through their neck and faces transforming them into half men!
