What would a doctor hope to find in an abdominal ultasound that they haven’t found in a CT?

I have had two abdomial CT’s both showed that I have swollen lymph nodes in my lower abdomen. Now the doctors want to do an ultrasound. All STD’s have been ruled out. What could it be? Or what could they hope to find in the ultrasound?

probably just want a closer look at the actuall lymph nodes. I woudln’t worry too much about it. you should be okay. anything bad that they were looking for ethey would have found in a ct for sure

    They probably want a clear view of your ovaries and uterus. It also gives them more of a 3-d view of the swollen lymph nodes and they can tell if they’re full of fluid or solid. That’s all.
