What do you hope your teacher says to you?

The first day of school is approaching fast. You’re excited and nervous and all of 8 years old. What is the one thing you hope your teacher will say on that first day that will ease your worried mind?

I wish they would say:

"Teacher, my mind is open again. How can you help me make this world a better place? And if not the world, me?"

How about…"Students, welcome back to school! I am Miss ____. I am not your teacher. I am your guide. I am here to show you how you are going to change the world…"

"Nicholas! Quit spitting paper balls! Get your butt to the principles office!"…

    Let’s see…8 years old…

    Maybe I’d feel better if she said " My, you look so pretty today, did you pick out you outfit by yourself?"…

    If a boy..".I’m so glad you’re in my class…I’ve heard so many good things about you!"

    Acknowledge each and every student. Make sure you take the time out of the beginning of class to go by each student and introduce yourself, ask what there name is.. tell them your name.. ask what they did over the summer.. and say that you’re excited about them being in your class this year (=

    I think more positive reinforcement would be great being only 8 years old…like for instance….what you did was really good, showed a lot of class…you look very nice today…i think, you are a good person….you guys are the best!!!!..If you do not understand something…i am the teacher, i would be HAPPY TO EXPLAIN IT AGAIN…no problem…
