Yeah i thought that … Yeah i thought that countdown sounded military. Much respect guys in great shape. He doesn’t limit himself only to weighs which is great. Barstarzz
I know you weren’t … I know you weren’t being disrespectful dude. “Once a Marine always a….” is a fine mantra. I’m just saying that it’s a semantical issue of ”ex” and “former”. Neither term bars you from being proud of what you’ve done and carrying it with you for life. I was letting you know that correcting someone on that sounds chiche and out of touch. Your grandpa sounds like a good man, have a nice day.
Shit man, I didn’t … man, I didn’t mean any disrespect, I have the utmost respect for Marines. My grandfather served in WWII and retired a Colonel and his big thing he drilled us on was “once a Marine, always a Marine”, so that stuck with me. I respected and admired him more than any man on this planet, the way he carried himself alone told alot about him. No, I’m not a Marine, yet, but I try and back up the Corps as much as I can, whether it be some dumb with a bumper sticker or some youtube thread.
Yeah brother, I … Yeah brother, I know the moto answer. It’s such an arbitrary thing to point out. First, “retired” is only a title given to guys who were in for a career (20+ years). Usually people say “former” instead of “ex”, but these both mean the same thing. “ex” means I once was but am no longer a Marine; how is that not accurate? Not to be a dick, but I’ll go out on a limb and say you’re not a Marine, and definitely not a grunt. Your comments are cut-and-paste cliche’ riddled nonsense. Sorry man, but damn
The Marine Corps … The Marine Corps has more tradition and more pride than any other branch of the military. Since Nov 10th, 1775 Marines have been trained specifically to fight along side of the Navy, boarded on the ships, making beach landings, and being expert sharpshooters. Earning the title “Marine” is something only a Marine can experience and that no civilian will ever know or understand. Once a Marine earns that title it sticks with him for the remainder of his life.
